BBs
BB Buying Guide:
So which BBs should you use? It depends on what airsoft gun you are using and where you are using it! Here is a breakdown of the weights:
0.20g BBs - The Indoor BB.
This weight is great for indoor airsofting events. This is the gold standard of testing velocity, all fields will require 0.20g BBs in your guns for choronographing.
Suitable for: Entry level Rifles, Pistols, Indoor Play
0.25g BBs - The Outdoor BB.
This weight is great for outdoor airsofting events! Basically your standard minimum weight for your summer airsoft events. Great value and just heavy enough to cut through light bush.
Suitable for: Most Electric Rifles, Pistols, Outdoor Play, Indoor play (increased accuracy over 0.20g)
0.28g BBs - The Premium Weight BB
This weight is great for those players who want the best out of their Electric and Gas Rifles. You will see many use these with upgraded gas pistols as well for greater accuracy. A bit more expensive than 0.25g but well worth it if you value accuracy.
Suitable for: Most Electric and Gas Rifles, Pistols, Outdoor play, Indoor play, Sniper Rifles
0.30g and above BBs - The Sniper Rifle Weight BBs
This weight class of BBs is specifically designed for Bolt Action Sniper Rifles and Gas Operated Rifles. Some people do use them in their AEGs but mostly for those that are highly upgraded and fire a higher velocity than 450 with 0.20g BBs.
Suitable for: Gas Rifles, Bolt Action Sniper Rifles
Biodegradable or not to Biodegradable?
Yes, going BIO is more expensive but it benefits the earth! Check with your local field to see if they require this. Many indoor facilities require you NOT to use bio bbs as they tend to shatter more on impact. So, go BIO if needed, otherwise stay with the standard stuff!
