The KRYTAC Nautilus reinforced 8mm ball bearing gearbox features an integrated MOSFET to regulate electronic signals and to protect the trigger contacts. The corners of the gearbox that surround the cylinder feature a smooth radius, as opposed to a 90 angle, to prevent fracture. Also, the gearbox shell features a small window on the left side where lubrication can be applied directly to the gears or piston, this window is also convenient for inspecting the angle of engagement with the gearbox fully assembled. Additional gearbox features include a modular spring guide system that will allow the spring to be changed without completely disassembling the gearbox. The KRYTAC piston is made of a durable, lightweight polymer and features 4 metal teeth, with the 2nd to last tooth absent. The Cylinder head is padded with an enlarged rubber bumper to optimize the angle of engagement and to absorb energy form the impact of the piston assembly. The material for the gears have been especially formulated to be very strong, Rockwell test figures on the KRYTAC gears are much higher than industry norms. The spur gear features a tension system built into its axis to keep the gear perfectly aligned while under load. Other features of the Nautilus gearbox include the anti-corrosive coating that give the gearbox it's unique color and the wire keep for the motor wires around the base of the gearbox. Each component on the KRYTAC Nautilus V2 Gearbox has been designed to perform at a high level and to be user friendly for the technician that repeatedly tunes their AEG. This is the standard gearbox for the KRYTAC Trident series of AEGs but it can also serve as a replacement or upgrade to other AEG platforms.
- Factory direct complete OEM replacement gearbox
- Built in MOSFET unit regulates battery current to protect the trigger contacts
- Padded cylinder head helps soften and absorb some of the transferred shock
- Reinforced piston to withstand the high cyclic rate of the Nautilus Gearbox
- Easy spring change allows the spring to be swapped out without disassembly of the gearbox
This is the M120 spring version (approx muzzle velocity can vary greatly depending on your rifle, but expect 400+ fps with this)
